The fact is that the guide to the spiritual world has always been and will be a spiritual individual, not a dedicated space with a set of beliefs and rituals.
The fact is that God does not need slaves. God needs courageous free people, capable of independent thinking to explore themselves and God within themselves. Because a slave discovers only a slave. So, does the Pope know more about faith than a pensioner who prayed for the liberation in occupied Kherson? Does he really understand the stories of canonized saints in times when Christians were tortured and killed for their faith? Would he also recommend them to give up their struggle?
The fact is that, if the church was interested in the result and feedback, the Vatican would have thought about searching the archives of its library for Gospels that are more adequate and relevant for modern people.
The fact, even, is not that we, lovers of simple solutions and a magic pill, do not go to God barefoot to the highest mountain, but to the nearest 7/11 store. The fact is that in this world, where all relationships scale up and down, where everything begins and ends in the same place, our relationships with God is exactly the same as our relationships with ourselves. So, if you believed that you, a sinner, needed a savior, then there must be a victim somewhere. Don’t blame the mirror. It has nothing to do with it.
